A few simple guidelines to optimize your results on the day of treatment.

  • Avoid all anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) — Advil, Motrin, Aleve, aspirin, etc. — for 1 week before and 1 to 2 weeks after the treatment
  • Avoid alcohol 3 to 7 days before and caffeine 24 hours before
  • Arrive well hydrated, after a good night's sleep
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes early for the blood draw

Yes. Because PRP is prepared from your own blood, the risk of allergic reaction or rejection is minimal. The treatment is performed by Dr. Champagne in a medical setting.
Is the treatment painful?+
Most patients describe the sensation as a pinching or pressure sensation. The level of pain varies. A topical numbing cream or local anesthetic is applied beforehand to keep you comfortable. After the procedure, some soreness or swelling at the injection site is normal and typically resolves within 48–72 hours.
How many sessions are needed?+
The number of sessions varies based on your goals and the area treated. A personalized plan is established during the consultation with Dr. Champagne.
When will I see results?+
